Our journey starts with a lovely drive to the largest Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, a captivating and wonderful architectural building. We also head to the beautiful “Corniche” before we move to Rabat.
Rabat is the capital of Morocco. We will visit the Udayas Kasbah and Hassan Tower, as well as the old Medina, when we arrive in Rabat. We will continue our way to Meknes, where there are several stunning landmarks to see, such as “Bab Mansour,” “Kara Jail,” and “Sehrij Souani.”
We will end our day by traveling to Fes City, where we will spend the first night of our trip at a beautiful and traditional Riad.
Today, our Morocco tour will begin with a local guide meeting at your riad. Prepare yourself for a long walk among the narrow alleyways of ancient Medina. We will show you the most fabulous and interesting places that the ancient part of Fes has to offer.
During the journey, we include an enjoyable visit to the famous Gate of “Bab Boujloud,” which is the main gate to get in the old Medina, before heading to Al Qarawiyyin University, the oldest university in the world. We also include “Al Attarin Madrasa,” Nejjarine Fountain, and the fascinating Chouara Tanneries, where you can experience and enjoy how people still use tanning and dyeing. In addition to these lovely and historical places, we will visit the Mellah, or Jewish Quarter, where we will learn about the Jewish community during their lives in Morocco. In the afternoon, we wind up the day with a short drive to an outstanding panoramic view, where we will be able to see all of ancient Medina from above.

During the third day of our fabulous Morocco tour, we drive from Fes to the magical Merzouga Desert. We travel through Imouzzer to visit Ifrane, which is known as the little “Switzerland of Morocco.” The road takes us to the impressive Middle Atlas Mountains, where we would have an opportunity to stop and observe Barbary apes in the Cedar Forest of Azrou.
Our Moroccan adventure will continue across the Tizi Ntelghamt Pass, through the breathtaking Ziz Valley, where we will stop by a lovely panoramic view and get a chance to enjoy the pictures. Before we arrive in the Merzouga Desert, we will make a short stop in Erfoud, which offers an annual date festival that takes place in October. We learn about the dates variety that the region offers every year. In addition, we enter the Sahara Desert, where our experienced camel guide awaits.
Be ready for a stunning camel ride over the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, as you will stop on the top of a sand dune to catch an incredible sunset. Finally, we move to the desert glamping, where we spend a gorgeous evening while drumming and singing under a starry sky.
On the fourth day of our Morocco Desert Tour, an early wake-up is recommended to witness an incredible sunrise from your desert camp. Additionally, we start exploring Merzouga‘s region after enjoying a hearty breakfast at your desert camp. Then we head to Khamlia village, where there will be an opportunity to observe the locals performing traditional and beautiful music.
Furthermore, we go on an off-road adventure to the abandoned village of Mifis, where the locals used to work in Galena. Our explorative day continues with a visit to a nomadic family in the heart of the desert. We share some tea with nomads and learn about their lifestyle. Along with that, we continue our off-road adventure to another small village, where we can enjoy a tasty lunch.
In the afternoon, we make sure that we have everything done and move through our traditional and lovely Riad for a relaxed moment. We can also do more activities that the Merzouga Desert offers, for instance, quad or buggy bike and horse rides.
The fifth day of our incredible Morocco desert experience, we would see and enjoy various fantastic sites along the way from the magical Merzouga Desert to the breathtaking Dades Valley. We start our journey with a lovely visit to a traditional market in Rissani that takes place every Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. In addition to that, we head to Erfoud to see one of the biggest fossil workshops in the region and explore the stunning specimens. Moreover, immerse yourself and learn about an ancient irrigation system around El Jorf as we pass by various Berber villages.
We arrive at Todra Gorge, where you can dive into a natural and unique view of the gorges and river. We wind up our trip from Merzouga to Dades Valley with a last stop at one of the outstanding sites, which is a natural rock formation known as monkey fingers. Finally, arrive at the hotel.
The sixth and last day of our memorable Moroccan experience offers an exciting chance to dive into real, deep Morocco and its history. We leave Dades Valley behind and head to Ouarzazate, where we stop shortly in front of Taourirt Kasbah and move to Atlas Studio, which is considered the largest Moroccan film studio. The road trip takes us to the well-preserved Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, which is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Furthermore, many films were shot in this location, for instance, Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and The Mummy.
In the afternoon, prepare yourself for a stunning and enjoyable drive through the High Atlas Mountains, as we will get the opportunity to stop for some breathtaking panoramic views. During our drive, we will visit one of the famous and captivating Argan cooperatives in the Tizi N Tichka Pass, where we will learn how Berber women make the natural Argan products. Finally, we traverse to Marrakech, ending the tour with a safe drop-off at your fabulous riad inside the old Medina.
