7 DAYS IN MOROCCO TOUR FROM MARRAKECH TO FES

The first day of our 7 day desert tour, we pick you up from the airport heading to your Riad. Meet your local guide at your riad, where your explorative journey begins. The visit to the old medina includes several historical monuments like the famous and fantastic Bahia Palace, Badii Palace, Saadian Tombs, the outstanding Madrasa Ben Youssef, which was once a Quranic school, and the spectacular Jamaa el Fna mosque. Furthermore, live a stunning immersion cultural experience and learn the history of Marrakech. After that, enjoy your lunch in a traditional restaurant.

In the afternoon, there will be an optional chance to visit the beautiful Majorelle Garden in the modern part of Marrakech.
In the evening, dive into the charming big Jamaa el Fna square, and immerse yourself in the lovely rhythms of music variety and storytellers.

The third day of our Morocco desert tour starts with a scenic drive along the Tinghir landscape. Then, we arrive at the fascinating Todra Gorges and stroll around the river, taking photographs as well. Then, we move to Erfoud, where we learn about dates variety. The small town holds an annual dates festival that takes place in October. Moreover, our tour continues over the Sahara Desert. We experience one of the best and most enjoyable activities in the desert; we enjoy camel riding and catch a charming sunset over the outstanding Erg Chebbi dunes. Thereafter, we head to a desert camp where there is an opportunity to discover the beautiful Berber rhythms while joining the locals and learning music under a starry sky.

On the fourth day of our Morocco itinerary, we recommend an early wake-up to catch an outstanding sunset from the desert camp and enjoy the view. Our explorative journey takes us through a nomadic family behind the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We dive into the beautiful culture, kind people, and lovely history while sharing a tasty glass of tea. In addition, we off-roaded over an abandoned village to see where the locals used to take the Galena mine for a long time and enjoy a fascinating panoramic view of sand dunes. Moreover, we visit Khamlia village and enjoy authentic Gnaoua performances that make the area different and unique. We also try delicious Berber pizza at a traditional restaurant and discover the beautiful Moroccan cuisine.

In the afternoon, we drive to Merzouga, stroll in the palm groves, and see how the locals still use an old irrigation system to water their gardens and animals. We head to our wonderful Riad for a relaxed moment. In the late afternoon, there will be a chance to watch a fabulous sunset from the top of the golden sand dunes. Here are some of the activities you can choose: quad biking or horseback riding.

During the following day, after a charming sunrise and breakfast, we leave the incredible Merzouga desert. Our road takes us to Rissani, where we join the locals while walking around a traditional market, and we get the opportunity to dive into one of the oldest cultures and traditions in the world. The market takes place on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Additionally, we travel to Erfoud via stunning Kasbahs and discover the fossil variety at a marble workshop.

After visiting these outstanding attractions, we enjoy the palm groves along the Ziz Valley and stop by an astonishing panoramic view to make some photographs. We continue to Midelt, the town famous as Apple Capital. Next, we enjoy a tasty lunch, move through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and arrive in the Cedar Forest of Azrou, where we meet the barbary macaques and make sure not to forget to feed them and have fun with them. Ifrane is the next destination to see before reaching Fes. We admire the beautiful Ifrane, which is known as Moroccan Switzerland due to its gorgeous landscape and too much snow during the winter. Consequently, we end the journey at your accommodation in Fes.

Commencing our journey by meeting our local guide at your accommodation. Fes is considered the cultural city of Morocco and recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We start our explorative day by visiting the golden royal palace gate and the beautiful blue gate, or Bab Boujloud, which is the main entrance of the old Medina of Fes.

We stroll along the narrow and picturesque alleyways. We dive at the stunning Moroccan architecture, learn about the largest history and impressive culture. During the journey, we also include several spectacular landmarks, such as the Bouaanania Madrasa, the famous tanneries, the Najjarine Fountain, and the oldest university in the whole universe, Al Qarawiyyin University. Additionally, we move through the “Mellah,” or Jewish quarter, where we learn about the Jewish community while living in Morocco. Thus, we drive to a fascinating panoramic view of the authentic old Medina of Fes. Finally, a transfer to your Riad.

We have reached the last day of our Moroccan adventure. We make sure to visit and enjoy all the beautiful places in Fes before ending the tour with a transfer to the airport.
