Today, we meet you at the Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, and we welcome you and greet you well. In addition to that, we start our 7-day Morocco tour by visiting the Hassan II Mosque, considered the second-largest functioning mosque in Africa. Enjoy its impressive architectural building, learn the culture and religion. Later, we move towards the beautiful current Moroccan capital, Rabat; we visit the stunning Hassan Tower and gorgeous Oudayas Kasbah.
In the late afternoon, we take you directly to your accommodation for a relaxed night. You get ready for the following journey from Rabat to Chefchaouen.
Important note: if you arrive in the afternoon or at night, we will drive you directly to your hotel in Casablanca. So, we start the tour on the following day.
The second day of our Morocco travel starts after your breakfast at your hotel or riad in Rabat. We leave the enchanting Rabat behind and enjoy the road trip to Chefchaouen. Moreover, we stop on the way for coffee and some beautiful views. While we arrive in the charming Chefchaouen, or the blue pearl in the Rif Mountains, you do the check-in at your Riad and have leisure time to explore the city on your own.
The city is not that big and not small; it is easy to visit by yourself. Take your camera with you and dive into the blue-painted streets that give the city a beautiful appearance. Also, you can visit the market and try delicious Moroccan food as well as immerse yourself in the unique culture around there.
The following journey will be from Chefchaouen to Fes via Volubilis and Meknes. As usual, we start our Morocco trip after getting ready and getting things done by the beautiful Chefchaouen. We drive throughout the picturesque Moroccan countryside; we see how people still live their simple lives, and discover how their culture is still maintained till today. Furthermore, we continue our journey through Volubilis, a Roman ruin that is located near Meknes. We stroll over there and learn how the Romans used to live in Morocco.
We will make sure that everything is done and head to Meknes, which once was the Moroccan capital. While arriving at the impressive Meknes, we would visit the famous Bab el Mansour gate, the religious site of the Moulay Ismail mausoleum, Kara Jail, and Sahrij Souani.
By the late afternoon, our drive takes us directly to Fes, so as to spend a relaxed night and recharge for the following full-day immersion tour with the local guide.
On the fourth day, get ready for a full-day tour with a local guide. Fes is one of Morocco’s imperial cities, besides being a cultural and religious center. You will start your guided tour with a visit to the famous royal palace, Golden Gate, and then dive into the old medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where fascinating culture and history are await to be discovered, including the unique culture and oldest history.
While being escorted by your local guide, you will visit Al-Qarawiyyin University, which is considered the oldest university in the world. Next, Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Najjarine fountain, and Chaouara Tanneries that give the old part of Fes an important appearance.
Moreover, you will visit the Mellah, or Jewish quarter, and learn about the Jewish community while they were living in Morocco. After that, you will be taken to an ancient fortress to enjoy a lovely panoramic view. Finally, you can see the whole city from above before returning back to your riad.
Today, we travel from Fes to the Merzouga Desert via fascinating Berber villages, mountains, and oases. After breakfast, we enjoy our drive to Ifrane, famous for its beauty and scenery; it is also called the little Switzerland of Morocco. Additionally, we continue on to the Middle Atlas Mountains, stop briefly in a cedar forest to watch the Barbary apes. Moreover, we head south to Midelt, where we may have a delicious lunch. Then, moving to the outstanding panoramic view of the Ziz Valley.
In the afternoon, we drive throughout the charming Sahara Desert, experience the breathtaking camel ride. Catch a magical sunset over the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Later, we move to our desert camp; you relax and feel the allure of the real Sahara Desert, enjoy a tasty dinner, join the locals while drumming and dancing around a campfire under a sky full of stars.
Today, we strongly advise waking up early to see a breathtaking sunrise. We leave the Sahara Desert and travel to Rissani, where you may have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a colorful culture at the traditional market, it takes place on Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
In addition, we go to Erfoud to visit a workshop and learn about fossils. We continue our drive to Dades Valley through the breathtaking Todra Gorge, one of the top destinations for climbers, hikers, and motorcyclists. Furthermore, it has been featured in the American series “Expedition Impossible.” You are free to roam along the river and capture wonderful shots.
We enjoy a fantastic meal at one of the best traditional eateries. We travel to Dades Valley, where we stop at the spectacular panoramic vista known as “monkey fingers.” Finally, we travel to the hotel, where we have dinner and spend the night.
During the last day of our 7-day Morocco itinerary, we travel from Dades Valley to Marrakech, passing by several fascinating Berber villages and outstanding landscapes.
We leave the picturesque Dades Valley and head through Skoura, a beautiful oasis of palm trees, and continue to Ouarzazate, famous as the Hollywood of Africa due to its landscape, and containing the biggest film studios in Africa.
Additionally, the road takes us to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the most breathtaking kasbahs in Morocco, besides being a well-preserved UNESCO World Heritage Site. Moreover, several films and TV series took place here, including Game of Thrones, Vikings, Lawrence of Arabia, Son of God, and Gladiator.
Stroll along the authentic building, admire the stunning views, and dive into the unique culture and history. After having a tasty lunch at one of the lovely restaurants, we get ready to drive through the Atlas mountain scenery and cross the incredible Tizi n Tichka pass, where we stop for some drinks and gorgeous natural views.
Furthermore, we head directly to Marrakech and drop you off at the nearest point to your Riad, where our 7-day Morocco tour itinerary ends.
