On the first day of our 3-day desert tour from Errachidia to Fes, the tour will be started by a great pick-up from Errachidia and head to the Sahara Desert via Ziz Valley, where we will stop for a lovely panoramic view,and then continue our way, passing by several berber villages along the way. In addition to that,we will have a short stop in Erfoud, which is considered the capital of dates and has an annual dates festival that takes place in October. The city is also known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert.we will arrive at Erg Chebbi Dunes, where we will meet our experienced camel man waiting for us for a fantastic desert experience.
our first evening in the Sahara desert will be enjoyable as everybody rides his/her own camel, make a stop to catch the sunset from the top of a sand dune, and continue the way to a desert camp,where we will have dinner and an overnight stay,as well as an unforgettable moment with locals playing Berber music under a starry sky including some funny stories.
The following morning,we would have an opportunity to wake up, observe the sunrise from our camp, and have a fabulous and delicious breakfastbefore we start our exploration journey to the Desert region. Furthermore,we will have the chance to choose either a camel ride or a 4×4 to come back to Merzouga village, where we will meet again for an explorative day trip in the Sahara Desert. we will start with an amazing visit to the nomads and have a nice glass of tea. we will learn about their lifestyle, culture, and history. Moreover, we will move to an abandoned village and Khamlia village, where we will enjoy and try to perform Gnaoua music. In addition to that, we will have free time for a Berber pizza in the same village; later, you will be taken to Merzouga and have a chance in case you want to do more extra activities, such as:quads or buggies.thus,In the evening, you will have dinner at your traditional Riad and enjoy your relaxed night in a very quiet place.
Our following morning, the drive will take us to Rissani and Erfoud after leaving Merzouga region and fabulous desert behind.We will head to Rissani where we will visit a traditional market,and then head to Erfoud,where we will see one of the famous fossilized marble shops,moreover, our way will be continued to the cedar forest of Azrou, where we will meet the Barbary apes for a short time and continue to Ifran which is also known as Switzerland of Morocco,due to its beauty and silence. Finally we drive to Fes,where our Morocco Desert tour ends with a safe drop off at your accommodation or Airport.
